Upon my arrival, the reservation staff were unable to locate my booking in their system. Although my credit card had already been charged for one night, I was told that no reservation appeared. I showed my booking number, but it was not founded. Later, I noticed that Booking.com had sent me an email stating the reservation was cancelled due to a card decline. However, my card had already successfully been charged for one night. Since I was unaware of this discrepancy at the time, I made a new reservation while sitting at the café, at a much higher rate upon arrival. At check-out, I paid the full amount for four nights. Today, when reviewing my credit card statement, I see that I have been charged twice for the date of 24.11. (507.509 NGN) I kindly request your assistance in reviewing this matter and issuing a refund for the duplicate charge.
